Per the update effective 1 January 2023, the owner must have an inspection of operated systems carried out once every 5 years. The penalty for non-compliance can reach up to CZK 200,000.
The obligation applies to buildings with heat sources exceeding 70 kW, including those outside buildings. The inspection of operated systems — HVAC, heating, cooling, and cogeneration units — may only be performed by a certified energy specialist and is recorded in the ENEX database, administered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade. We will arrange this for you, including follow-up diagnostics, system balancing per Decree 193/2007 Coll., and pressure vessel inspections.
