HVAC and cooling for an office building in Karlín
Replacement of two AHU units and reconstruction of cooling distribution in a six-storey building — while tenants remained in full operation.
Scope of Work
The building owner needed to replace end-of-life units and increase cooling capacity without requiring tenants to vacate their offices for even a single day.
- Dismantling and replacement of two rooftop AHU units, including nighttime crane operations
- Reconstruction of cooling distribution on floors 3–6
- Installation of new fan coils in office spaces
- Expansion of measurement and control system and integration with the existing BMS
- Phased execution by floor to ensure continuous operation
Outcome
The building operated throughout the project with no loss of rental income. The new units with heat recovery reduced HVAC energy consumption, and tenants were able to maintain comfortable temperatures even in August for the first time in years.
