Heat pumps and air conditioning for a hotel in the Šumava region
A mountain hotel that requires heating for eight months of the year and needs to cool attic rooms in summer. Everything had to be as quiet as possible.
Scope of Work
The hotel needed to replace its end-of-life heat source, add cooling for attic rooms, and avoid disrupting the season.
- Site survey, heat loss and gain calculations, and solution variants
- Heat pump cascade with a bivalent source for frosty days
- Air conditioning for attic rooms with quiet indoor units
- Domestic hot water heating and connection to existing thermal storage
- Implementation outside peak season in two phases
Outcome
The hotel now heats at lower cost, attic rooms can be occupied in summer for the first time without complaints, and the entire project was completed between seasons.
