Heat pumps and heat recovery for a primary school in Příbram
The school replaced its gas boiler room with heat pumps and gained controlled classroom ventilation. We handled the grant application on behalf of the school's governing body.
Scope of Work
The governing body wanted to reduce the building's operating costs and simultaneously address stuffy classrooms, which teachers had been complaining about for a long time.
- Design and documentation for the grant application
- Air-to-water heat pump cascade as the primary heat source
- Heat recovery units for classrooms with CO₂-based control
- Retrofit of distribution piping and hydraulic balancing
- Grant processing under power of attorney and caretaker training
Outcome
Heating costs dropped significantly compared to the gas boiler room, and classrooms now have fresh air without open windows in winter. The school passed its operational systems inspection with no findings.
